Welcome to Shady Hollows
... where everything is not what it seems. This seemingly ordinary neighborhood in the valley is a charade like all its residents. Shady Hollows is the hideaway for liars, double agents, frauds and escapees. But in a place where everything and everyone has a secret… how do you know what’s real?

Rules
1) Follow all TWD, TWD RP, and Deception rules.
2) This is a REALISITC roleplay, so, no, someone's secret cannot be "they're a werewolf!" Try for something more realistic. If you want to have someone who claims to see the future or fortune-tell or something, sure, but nothing that's really unheard of in the real world.
3) Don't get too out of control with romance and violence.
4) PM all forms to me, Dreamer.
5) Post "trickery" in your form in italics if you read the rules.
6) Have fun!

Mark sat outside on his doorstep, his untidy black hair sticking up as always. He played with the throwing knife in his hand, gingerly touching the blade and pressing it against his fingertips until a fine red line appeared on his hand and started bleeding. He didn't feel the pain -- he never did. His emotions were numb.

Lilly was about to make one of her rare trips outside. She sighed, for she hated doing it. But, she needed some fresh air, and a few food items to keep her alive. She sighed again, turned the door knob, and stepped outside.
As she began to walk to the store, she spotted a young man sitting on his front steps, with what appeared to be, cutting himself with a knife. Lilly let out a gasp of horror, at the bloody red line.

Mark looked up and saw a girl staring at him with a horrified expression. "Oh, it's just a tiny cut, it's not that deep," he scoffed. "Or are you afraid of a little blood?" He stood and waved his hand in her face, grinning teasingly.

Lilly scowled. "No. I guess I'm not used to seeing any... I don't go out much, so I haven't seen any in awhie." She replied defensively. Her voice sounded strange to her- she hadn't used it in a long time.

"Yeah, you are pretty pale," Mark noted, prodding at her arm. "Lemme guess -- your secret is that you're a...." he paused for dramatic effect, looking around sarcastically, and then whispered, "vampire." He snapped his teeth at her with a grin.

Lilly couldn't help but smile- the action felt weird. "Yeah, I am," she replied, just as sarcastic. "And you're a werewolf?"

"Mm, yeah. Jacob can't beat this body," he smirked, guesturing down to his arms and pointed at his abs, which were covered by a black shirt at the moment.

"Okay, enough of this charade. What are you really here for?"
This was a question asked so often, and answered so mysteriously. You never knew if someone was telling the truth or lying. You never knew how dangerous your neighbors were. You never knew everything about even your best friend around here, because everything is a lie. Sometimes, you can't ever be sure of yourself.

Lilly was glad their "game" was over. She felt strange not being anti-social...
She frowned. "I.... I was involved in some... criminal stuff.... escapee...."

"Ah, same." Mark held up his hand for a high-five. "Serial robber and escapee. They're looking for a somewhat scrawny, pale Marcus Brain with blonde hair and a beard, but my hair is back to natural color, I've shaved my beard, I worked out, I tanned, and I'm under my real name. Besides, I'm here... where no one can get me."

"Thinking is good," Mark agreed, realizing how dull and uninsightful he sounded. "Well, seeing as you don't get out much, I think I should show you my special place."
