Did you have a nice trip?

Okay, this happened yesterday, and I thought it was interesting/exciting. So yeah.

"No, I swear, Miranda! There was a huge bug in here. Like a cockroach!"
Yeah. Right, Morgan. I thought, as a pushed the skimmer through my pool.
"There was!" she insisted. I'm not touching the bottom, either way!" she said, as she settled onto her huge black and green float.
Suddenly, there was a dark spot in the water. Expecting it to be another bug, I pushed the skimmer through the water, getting ready to dump the load of bugs over the side of the pool. But, when the skimmer came up, there was a HUGE bug in there. Bigger than anything I'd ever seen, bigger than the biggest june bug. It was the size of my ring finger, and as wide as my big toe. It looked like something out of a movie, or a plastic toy. But, it was at one point, most definitely alive. Oh, it was all brown, too.
Morgan, and her cousin stared wide-eyed, and began shrieking. I think I screamed once, then flung the uber-sized beg over the side of the pool.
Suddenly intrigued, the three of us lumbered out of the pool, and began running toward where the bug landed.
It wasn't hard to spot the bug; for one thing, it stood out against the grass, and for another, it was huge, so yeah.
"Hang on guys, I'm gonna go get my phone, I'll be right back!" I said, and began to jog up a mini hill. It's not too mini, but it's good sized.
At the top, I grabbed my phone from where it was on top of my towel. As soon as I got it, I began to run back down the hill. When I got to the bottom, I took "mug shots" of the bug, and ran back up the hill to put my phone back.
Once at the top, I heard Morgan scream, "Miranda!! I dropped it onto your shirt!"
"What?!" I sighed, annoyed.
I began to run down the hill, but I slipped. I looked down to see my ankle bend at a funny angle, and a sickening crack! Or was it more of a crunch! I don't remember, but either way, all I felt was pain.
Gasping, and panting, I fell to my knees, and soon to my side, the pain sharp and sickening. "Morgan!" I somehow managed to gasp. "Go get your mom!"
I waited for the tears to come, but they wouldn't. Why was this? I could very well've broken my ankle, yet I wasn't panting. Just gasping on the slope of a hill. Huh.
Morgan broke into a steady run up the hill, only for my step-dad to pull into my driveway, and Morgan to run up to him.
Once by my side, he asked, "Can you walk on it?"
"I don't know," I panted.
"Try," he encouraged.
I slowly got up, and began limping over to my lawn chairs, my foot still throbbing. It hurt whenever it moved, no matter how slight the movement was. But, I could walk. Kinda.
I pulled the covers over my feet to see that my ankle had swollen to the size of a golf ball. Nice. My mom then determined that it was either badly twisted, or sprained. Also nice. Not.

That's crazy! A large bug, then a bad fall on an ankle. O.o

Yeah. xP The good thing is that the bug was dead, my ankle isn't broken, I can still walk on it, and the swelling is going down.

Okay, well, that's good. Wow... Big bug... Creepy.

Sounds like a very interesting/bad/interesting again day ! Glad to hear the swelling is going down!!! Hopefully there aren't any more of those bugs.

Aw, that sucks! Get better soon! But the bug sounds interesting, do you know what it was?

Eh, not sure about the kind. Not sure I want to.

I guess I can understand that.

But in a way I do.

My ankle is better! I can pretty much move it, but no extreme movements.
