Black Thunder Herds Empty Black Thunder Herds

Black Thunder Herds 148oqdt
A band of wild horses runs towards you, their eyes full of fear. "You better hurry!" One whinnies, obviously scared. "They are coming!" Before you can reply, he gallops off with his herd. Are you running with them? Or are you what they're running from?

Welcome to Black Thunder Herds.

Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Raven, of the Gypsy Herd. I was born here with my herd about three years ago, and, as you can see, it's the perfect place for us. Plenty of grass to graze on, plenty open fields to gallop in... Pretty awesome, right?
It was . . . Except when they came. Yes, they . . . The other band of horses here, the ones of Black Thunder. They're the devils of these fields, always competing with us, and killing off scrawny elders, or foals. We need your help . . . Or are you the enemy?

Horse terms:
Spoiler:

Plot

You can pick any herd that you want, (5 to choose from. Or, you may reside in Seaside Stables, which is generally a safer, laid back life) and you survive as a wild horse. Everything was peaceful until a new herd, named Black Thunder, entered the territory, and chaos broke loose. Now, the other 4 herds are living in a life of fear, or perhaps even hiding. Unless you're one of the bolder horses, or decide to join Black Thunder Herd, your life may be in danger. You'll need to learn to survive.
Though there're five herds, there's only a limited amount of space, and because of the increasing human population, your home land is disappearing before your very eyes. You'll either need to learn to work together with other herds to survive, or drive them out of your home.

About the herds

Gypsy Herd:

Gypsy Herd is made up of Gypsy Vanner/Cob horses. They are stocky draft horses, generally black and white, with thick silky feathering, and long manes and tails. They may have a little "beard", or "mustache" growing under their throat and mouth.
They're laid back, and have a "go with the flow" type nature. They dislike Black Thunder Herd, and stand up for the others herds as well as their own.
Like Friesian Herd, they welcome any rouge horse into their herd, but do not usually interbreed, as they love keeping their bloodline pure.

Picture of a Gypsy Vanner/Cob:
Spoiler:

Mustang Herd:
The Mustang Herd is made up of a throng of mustang horses. They tend to be bay, chestnut, brown, or black, but they're generally any color. They can be white, however, it's uncommon. (Greys are not usually mustangs unless the horse is very old). They're very bold horses, and tend to challenge the Black Thunder Herd, which isn't a very good idea. Some even decide to join Black Thunder, saying that Mustang Herd is worthless.
Black Thunders' unwanted foals usually find a home in Mustang Herd, and, to keep the young foal from becoming depressed, foster the young horse, and don't tell them that they were unwanted.
They can be very hyper horses, and love to gallop around, racing each other. They'd rather not help the other herds, but with their dislike of Black Thunder, they team up with other herds, hoping to somehow over throw Black Thunder.

Picture of Mustang Horse:
Spoiler:

Wee Herd:
Wee Herd is a band of wild mini horses, which is uncommon. They've been either abandoned by their owners, or have run away, and joined together to live in the wild. They come in any color, as they're not truly wild, (unless they were born into the herd) and the unlucky herd managed to get caught up in Black Thunder's nonsense. Though minis are not permitted to join Black Thunder, they're been commented to have the spirit of a true Black Thunder.
They range from being bold, to timid, to anything in between. Since they're mini, they do not get above three feet at the absolute biggest. Because of this, if they graze to much, and don't exercise their stubby legs, they'll grow fat, and will tend to join Seaside's petting zoo.

Picture of a mini horse:
Spoiler:

Friesian Herd
The Friesian Herd came to be when a trailer came to a careless stop, and the reinforcements on the trailer broke. At the stop, the horses lumbered out into the wild, and met the three other herds roaming the wild.
Friesians are always black horses, as that is the color of the breed, and are not usually wild, making them sometimes snooty, or pampered. However, don't get the wrong idea of these horses, though, as many of them are good hearted, and very down to earth. Because of this, they generally refuse to join Black Thunder, unless captured, or they feel that they have no other choice.
The lazy Friesians tend to hang out, and graze all day, tending to become chubby. Some refuse the life of living in a herd altogether, and go to Seaside, where they are fed a generous three times a day, and have access to grazing 24/7.
The more wild ones tend and care to their herd, trying to make everyone comfortable. They welcome any stray horse to join their herd, though interbreeding is often shunned here, as they like to keep their bloodlines pure. This does not mean that another breed of horse is treated as scum, however; just no interbreeding.

Picture of a Friesian Horse:
Spoiler:

Black Thunder Herd
Black Thunder Herd is the meanest herd, usually because the bulk of the herd were neglected horses, and never knew any love. So instead, they lumber around making sure that everyone else suffers, even going as far as killing off helpless horses from other herds. They're generally made up of any horses, (within reason) and let anyone who "proves themselves" into their herd. Not many horses willingly join, unless they can prove to be the baddest of the bad.
They're extremely cruel, and could care less about the other herds, as they're pretty much dominant of the wild herds. They eat whatever they can, and soil the fresh grass and food, in an effort to starve the other herds, wanting to be the only wild one left.
Any foals born into the herd will have to prove that they're strong enough to live in Black Thunder. Any horse that doesn't prove he/she is worthy, is abandoned by the herd, and usually wanders around, looking for his/her mother, before dying of starvation, or taken in by another herd.
Their colors tend to be greys and blacks, and other dull colors to blend in with shadows, but they generally take anyone in who proves themselves. (Besides anyone from Wee Herd.)

Seaside Stables
The stables near the herds of wild horses. Fat, pampered horses live here, and they're constantly taunted and reminded by the herds of their fat and lazy nature. They generally don't do anything except graze, or give the occasional riding lesson to a young child. Some choose to join the herd as well, though this is rare, and, when it does happen, the stable horse usually has a hard time adjusting, and at times even returning to Seaside.
There are two main stables here: One for the horses to stay in, and one for tacking up your horse, plus an indoor riding ring. There are seventeen stalls here, and all of them lead out to a large pasture, full of fresh, green, delicious grass.
Once in a while, a horse will wander into Seaside, and chat with some of the horses, usually taunting them about how fat and lazy they are. Some horses, to prove they're not the typical stable horse, join the herd, though it is unlikely.
Seaside can be made up of any realistic horse.

Whinnie - Whinnie is a two foot palomino mare, with a pure white mane and tail. She has dirt and mud caked into her hooves and legs, but other then that, is generally clean. She's cheerful, but can also be quite depressing if she wants to. She was nearly persuaded as a yearling to join Black Thunder Herd, and hates herself for it. (Shortly after this incident, no more of Wee Herd was a loud to join Black Thunder). She tries to make the herd happy. [PeggySnow]

Koda: Koda is a six month old Stallion, and is as black as night. He's very bold, but also very caring for his sister, Pippi. (They have the same dam, Violet). He's also very protective of his sister, and anyone who makes her feel threatened will be chased away.

(Hey chicken fried Peggy, when you're nice and crispy, would you like to RP?

Wait, that was exceedingly freakish. I shall rephrase:

Would you like to RP with Kipper and Whinnie?)

(Yes, sir!)

Kipper, a fat little pony of two-and-a-half feet in height, was happily munching away at clumps of uncontaminated grass. Unfortunately, he couldn't taste it: he was holding his breath in order to avoid inhaling the dreadful stench of feces.
As he grazed, he waddled around in a rectangular pattern, stopping at each imaginary corner to blink seventeen times. He then stomped each of his hooves into the soil three times, for a total of eighty stomps and blinks combined.

((@Summer: Unfortunately, not accepted. Sorry! Please review the rules.))

Whinnie, a two foot palomino mare, trotted over to where Kipper was practicing his odd pattern. "What are you doing?" She asked, blinking her large eyes.

"I have, I have, I have, I have, I have, OCD, OCD, OCD, OCD, OCD," Kipper spat on the ground five times and shook his mane ten times. "I have, I have, I have, I have, I have, a headache, a headache, a headache, a headache, a headache. DI DI DI dah dah dah DI DI DIT." The poor creature looked sadly at Whinnie and shed three tears out of each eye.

Whinnie rolled her eyes. "Should've known better," she muttered under her breath.
She began grazing in the field, but soon became full, and bored, so she wandered after Kipper. "Where is that silly horse?" She mumbled, trying to follow his scent trail.

Kipper was rolling around in the dirt, covering himself with the stench of earth and feces. He stood up after a few minutes, and, screaming for no reason, ran to a hole in the ground and jumped in; it was full of mud and he slowly submerged until only his eyes and nose were above the surface.

Kipper's mouth was under the mud, hence his refusal to reply -- orally -- but he blinked quickly three times, then slowly three times, then quickly again, which was Morse code for S.O.S.

Whinnie let out a tiny squeak. She hated, hated, hated getting dirty. "Why would you even do this?" She hissed. "How am I supposed to get you out?"
The little horse warily approached Kipper, and waded into the mud. Gingerly, she reached out her muzzle, and gently bit the side of his head, and, with great difficulty, began pulling them both out of the filth.
