Mind to Mouth

Okay, so I wrote this one for an English assignment. HOpe you like it!
The words crawl into your ear,
And search for a rope.
They grab on and hold it near,
Praying they can cope.
The journey begins.
The rope starts to pull,
And they start to move
Deeper into your skull.
They fall into a groove,
In a red squishy mess.
They start to register,
And you begin to think,
But all this happens faster
Than a single blink.
And the words work their way out.
Back on the outside,
A girl stares at a boy,
Maybe with pride,
But certainly joy.
She opens her mouth.
And out come the words
That just traveled through
Her brain. And she whispers
“I love you.”

How you excel your talents with each poem you post! H.P. Lovecraft should envy you although he is always ashamed of his own poetry.
