HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
New year
New plans
New hopes
New dreams
New start
Everybody looking forward to 2012? And planning not to die in the apocalypse?
Other thoughts:
High-ho, High-ho, it's back to school we go.
Is anybody else dreading the start of the school year once more?

Happy new year to all of you as well!!
Looking forward to 2012. I'm hoping it's gonna be a good year.
I'm rather dreading the start, as well.... o.O Not looking forward to it. Waking up early, and homework, and all.

Re: MCT: January
Haha, yay! To all of me! At least until a random person logs on halfway through the month...
It had better be a fantastic year... Because if it sucks more than 2011... I will be pissed. So, good year, yes.
Me either... Back to stress, and not sleeping, and... ick...

Re: MCT: January
Yay! xD Indeed.
Yeah, I didn't think 2011 was too bad. I kind of liked it. It was interesting. I do hope 2012 is good, too, though.
I'm dreading it. Do you know if we have choir tomorrow? 'Cause that'd suck even more, but I'm not sure.

Re: MCT: January
Otherwise... We're just alone. But... that's nothing new anymore... xD
I'm determined to make this year the best. I don't know why, but I'm just hitting a point where I'm refusing to drop back down to being miserable. This is my year.
We don't. Tuesday there's no rehearsal, Wednesday is girls, Thursday is guys, Friday is everybody. Well, that's an extra half-hour of sleep. xD

Re: MCT: January
Yeah, pretty much. Although, it appears we have a new member. So, that's new.
Well, that's a good attitude to have, and I wish you luck with it.
I know, that's exciting. I'm not really looking forward to school tomorrow.... xD That came up fast.

Re: MCT: January
I flunked out of college, so I'm not worried about school at all. (':
From what I've heard and seen, though, you don't even need a degree to do what I want to do. So, I'll keep hoping for that. In the meantime, though, I'm just going to live life and take everything as it comes. I'm pretty much convinced I wasn't ready for college.
My 2011 wasn't that great, though. So much drama. So much...bleh.
...Sometimes I miss high school.

Re: MCT: January
Ah, did you just drop out of college when you ran away? Or, was this before it?
Yeah, I don't think you need a degree to be an author... I don't believe so, no. xD
I'm sorry your 2011 kind of sucked. You're 2012 can't be much worse, then, so, I wish you luck with this new year.
Ah.... I feel like the beginning of freshman year was kind of hectic, but that high school is going to get a bunch better, so I feel like in a few years I'll miss high school too.

Re: MCT: January
I just flunked my classes so much that I got kicked out. I didn't have the kind of self-motivation needed to keep myself studying and doing my homework.
Eragon was written by a boy in high school. I think he was only like a sophomore at the time or something, and people write autobiographies and stuff all the time that haven't gone to college, so I don't see why I wouldn't be able to get published. I love to write - though, I need to get better at it - and I'd like to be a well known author...
I hope it'll be good. So far it hasn't been, hah hah! Caught the flu a while back and gave it to Alex.
High school and college are usually student's favorite times in education. (Unless you're Alex, and he just deals with it because he needs to to get the career he wants.)

Re: MCT: January
That's unfortunate... Although, if you're planning on being an author, and you're not a school person, it sounds like it's going to be alright.
From what I can get from your basic writing, you sound decently linguistic, so I'm going to assume that your writing is pretty good, and naturally, the more you write, the better you'll get at it.
Ugh, you're not the only one. The flu's been going around school... xP I've been sick on and off for a couple weeks, now...
Well... I'm glad to hear that it should get better. This year's been kind of miserable for me.

Re: MCT: January
Hopefully. It would be nice for something in life to work out just the way I want it to. You know?
That's kind of you. The problem I have is describing scenery. I have a very strong ability at developing personality in my characters and dialogue, but for whatever reason I just can't do background and setting. It's always been a weakness of mine. Unfortunately I don't have anything too recent that I've written that I'm proud of. The only thing I have that I'm proud of is almost two years old. I guess, though...if I posted it and got good critique on it it would help. I wanted to write a sequel to it. Maybe I could use the critique to help me develop the sequel and / or rewrite my story more in depth. I rushed a lot of it. One chapter I just threw out there and it's almost not even worth it to read it. If I'm going to do that, though - post this story - should I do it chapter by chapter for you two? Or all at once? I have it all done.
That's terrible. My fiancee's niece is going to be coming to stay with him, myself, and his mom and her husband in the next couple of weeks. I hope she doesn't catch it since viruses can stay on surfaces for near on a month.
Aww... That's no good... I'm sorry. )':

Re: MCT: January
Okay, maybe it's because I've been reading Catcher In The Rye (which I hate) but I'm seeing some similarities there. It's kind of weird. xD Sorry. xD
Happy new year, summer.
Ah, yeah, totally, post that. Although, one or two chapters (depending how long they are) at a time is better than all at once, because then when we can get a minute or two online, we can actually read it. We'd love to give you some feedback. What's it about?

Re: MCT: January
Catcher in the Rye is a terrible story that needs to burn. Forever. Never-ending fire.
I already posted it. I'll post a chapter and wait until it's had a chance to have been read and commented on before I post the next one.
It's about a magical boarding school for high school aged students. (Thus the name Magick High.) However, not everything is as it seems within the walls of the school, and Arista has an ability yet to be awakened that will help her and her friends find out just what is going on at their school.
It's a lot more interesting than I can make it sound. Old, though, so not my best work. I can't find inspiration right now, or I'd write something else for everyone here to read. But, as I said, I want to make a sequel to Magick High, so maybe I can use the criticism to aid me in doing so. That way you can all see the level of writing I'm actually at, and I can also edit - or rewrite - Magick High so that everything flows nicer and some chapters don't seem so filler.

Re: MCT: January
Couldn't agree more with that... Build a stack of English books and burn them to the ground... Now where is the evil laughter emoticon when I need it?
I have read it. It is amazing. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment...

^ He isn't evil enough? (: I know he's not laughing, but he looks pretty sinister.
Aw, thank you. : D
Re: MCT: January
Bahaha. I'm going to join you in your book burning bonfire! (That is awesome alliteration)
I haven't read it yet! I'm going to do that right now! It sounds really interesting.

To the tune of Barney's "I Love You" song: Grab a match... kerosene... and some math books, nice and green. Build a big stack of textbooks and burn them to the ground... Dance in the ashes all around. Muwahaha... Okay, hold on... I have a specific smiley in mind...
... YES.
I like it.
