~♥~ Over the Rainbow ~♥~

I've posted this story on a few other sites, and I thought I'd try it out on here too. :]
“That’s alright.” Sam said as she climbed into the bus.
When Sam had found a seat, the man shoved her bags into the compartment above her. He looked at her for a moment, a confused look on his face. After a while, he spoke, “Pardon my asking, miss, but what is a young girl like you doing in London so late at night?”
Sam hesitated. “It’s a long story.” she said hastily, trying to avoid talking about the matter any further.
“Okay then, enjoy your ride.” He said as he turned around and walked towards the very front of the bus. “We’re ready to go.” he whispered to the driver. The bus sped off as Sam stared out of her window, gazing at the bright stars that spread across the midnight sky.
As the bus rode on, Samantha still gazed out of the window. She watched as the white snow fell gently to the ground. She sighed deeply and played with her purses’ string. The bus came to a halt and let another person on board. Sam gasped, realizing who it was; it was her father. She quickly slid under her chair, hoping not to be seen. She watched as her father glared about him, looking for her. As she made her way to the next chair down, she accidentally knocked over a stray bag that just “happened” to be home to hundreds of marbles. As the marbles scattered across the floor, she darted towards another seat. But it was too late; her father had seen her.
Chapter one
Samantha Rome Meyers sat at the bus stop, her legs swinging back and forth impatiently. She looked at the large tower clock that sat about 50 yards away as it chimed twelve times, signaling that it was midnight. She sighed and leaned back in the uncomfortable wooden bench. Where are you?!? she thought as she stood up and paced around the bench. As she rounded the bench for the 60th time, a large double decker bus screeched to a halt at the stop. A gangly man scrambled out of the bus and helped Samantha carry her luggage. “Sorry we’re late, Miss. There was a bit of wreck a ways out.”“That’s alright.” Sam said as she climbed into the bus.

Awesome! Wow, I like this already! I love the title, and she took a midnight [bus] going anywhere... (Sorry. Anytime midnight, and a means of travel come into play, you're in for a Don't Stop Believin' realation. xD)
