"I suppose I am," said Mrs. Tuzet. "Nadine, how is that ankle doing? Let's have a look.." she came over and removed the ice pack. "Hm, it doesn't look too bad, not a fracture or sprain or anything. You probably just twisted it, and the muscle is strained. I wouldn't walk on that for a day or so."

James agreed with his mom, but secretly wished that they could go out on a long walk, maybe head down to a beach or something, and have a romantic time without having worry about kids from school or his mom interfering.

[Dreamer]

"Looks like I'm missing another few days of school," Nadine sighed. "Not that I'm complaining. I'm glad to be out of there as soon as possible... hey! If I miss two more days, then I only have to go in for finals and then it's summer! Awesome!"

[Tolly12bells]

"Nice. I think I'm going to have to go back tomorrow, though." James sighed.

[Dreamer]

"Aw. I'll sit around and try not to be too lonely. Maybe hop back to my house when my mom's gone and get some more of my stuff."

James nodded sullenly, for once dreading his return to school: Homework no longer seemed like HomeFun, classes were useless, and he was bound to return into the midst of who knows how many rumors.

[Dreamer]

As Mrs. Tuzet exited the room, Nadine murmured to James, "Just ignore the rumors, okay? Let them think what they want."

[Tolly12bells]

"It's just that... Well... Sometimes, it's not that easy." James sighed, wringing his hands in his lap, "It's been my whole life, and it gets harder and harder."

[Dreamer]

"It'll be okay, as long as we're together. We can get through this."

[Tolly12bells]

James felt as if it were only about 10 minutes earlier that he had been saying the same thing to her, but he was grateful, nonetheless.

Nadine gently stroked his cheek, not really thinking anything in particular, except that she loved him.

((Yeah, that was a pointless post, but it was better than my post that had all of five characters, yesterday. xD))

James put his forehead to her temple, and just smiled.

((Yeahh, probably. I'm WBing, too. xD Nothing can happen right now.))

James walked out of school for the last time this year, and into the hot sun.

Nadine quickly ran out of the math classroom, glad to be done with that horrible teacher forever. She saw James walking up ahead, and caught up to him. "Hey," she smiled.

"Hola," James grinned, having just walked out of his Spanish final.

[Dreamer]

She smirked and kissed him hello. "I am so glad it's summer."

[Tolly12bells]

"I'm not, but, it's gotta be better than last summer. At least I have you to keep me company."

[Dreamer]

"Why? Don't you like summer?"

[Tolly12bells]

"It means being away from school," James laughed, "Of course I don't like summer! But it doesn't matter. Before I was just left to wallow in rumors. This summer might actually be sorta fun."

[Dreamer]

"This summer will be great for me, too.. it would be amazing if my home life wasn't so messed up, but at least I've got you."

[Tolly12bells]

"I know, but things are getting a little bit better, right? Only problem is, now we've got more time to ourselves, which means the more suspicious your mom will get when you don't come home." James bit his lip nervously.

[Dreamer]

"I don't care about my fricking mom. She's not going to do anything. She doesn't care. She hasn't even tried to reach me or done anything this past week I've been at your house... she's probably thrilled that I'm gone."
