Mark smiled, kissing her on the cheek and pulling her onto his lap, wrapping his arms around her waist. "It gets better, believe me."

Lilly quickly kissed him, and wrapped her arms around his neck. "But how is that possible?" she whispered, smiling.

"You'll see," Mark smiled. He eyed the sun as it slowly bobbed closer to the horizon. "See that little rowboat over there?"

"You bet it is," Mark smiled, getting up and holding out his hand for her. "Shall we?"

Mark picked her up with a grin, throwing her over his shoulder and carrying her over to the boardwalk. He set her down gently in the boat, climbing in after her with the oars.

Lilly couldn't help but smile as she was placed into the boat- who wouldn't?
"Are you sure you have the oars?" she asked, eyeing them. "I mean, I could get them if you like."

"Nope, I got it," Mark smiled, untying the boat and pushing off from the dock. "Unless you'd like to row, of course."

Lilly shrugged, still smiling. "I'd be happy to. But if you insist, than you shall. But if you arms get tired, I can do it,"

Mark rowed a little ways out, and then said, "You know what, let's share," he said, handing her one oar.

((They should just end up spinning around in circles like in Camp Rock. >.<))

Lilly grinned, scooching forward slightly, and gingerly taking one oar. Laughing, she said, "I wonder how this will work?"

Mark dropped the oar into the boat. "Shall we just float about for a while?"

Mark smiled, gazing over her shoulder at the sunset, then coming to rest his eyes on her flawless face. "You're beautiful, I don't know if I've told you enough."

Lilly blushed rose petal red, and looked into his eyes. "You're handsome; I don't know if I've told you that enough."

Mark grinned, leaning forward and kissing her gently. When he pulled back, he glanced at the horizon again; the sun was now halfway set, the sky a glorious gold. "What's that?" he asked, pointing over her shoulder at nothing in particular.

"What's what?" Lilly asked, whipping around violently to try and spot what he was looking at. Squinting, she scanned the horizon.

Mark quickly took out the box and opened it facing her direction. He didn't bother getting down on one knee because it might tip the boat over.

"I don't see anything," Lilly said, turning back around. Glancing down at the small box, Lilly gasped happily. "Yes!" she exclaimed happily, iving in to give Mark a huge hug.
