Replying/Not Replying
Alright, I just wanted to make a note about this.
Now, everyone likes to have people reply to their threads. It's quite depressing when something you worked hard on or something you really wanted to share goes unnoticed. But it's also a bit irritating when someone who has nothing to add to the conversation just comments with one word answers over and over just to reply. So, let's find the happy medium.
If someone posts something, try your best to reply. Take a look at every section of the forum and see if you have something to contribute to the conversation or an opinion to put in. If so? Comment, say what you have to say, and if substantial conversation follows or there's more to reply to, do so. But if all you have to say is "yes" or "okay" or repeating what you said earlier, then just don't comment. That's a fluff post, basically like spam.
If you see someone posted a story or poem thread, click on it, and find that's it's monstrously long and you don't have time/don't feel like reading it at the moment, maybe read a bit and post something saying "I haven't finished reading this, but I like it so far!" Even if you never finish reading, or you don't end up following the story, it can make someone's day just to be recognized.
I think that's pretty much it. Moral of this announcement: Contribute to conversation and reply as much as you can without fluffing.

xD No, you're actually not bad. It's just that there are some people who extremely over-reply and others who barely post on anything, so I just wanted to throw it out there.

Ahh. (YAY! Pointless post! xD)

Re: Replying/Not Replying
Anyway, I noticed how few of us replied to summer's threads, isn't that hypocritical?

The difficult thing with the above, is that I don't think many of us have a large amount to say on the topics she posts... I feel guilty, but I can't contribute to conversation there... :-\

Yeah, *agrees with Lauren* I also kinda do that a lot, not as much as I used to though.

Re: Replying/Not Replying
As Lauren pointed out, seeing as summer is vastly younger and lives halfway across the world from the rest of us, there are a lot of things she posts that we can't really relate to, and vice-versa.
Re: Replying/Not Replying
True that.

Re: Replying/Not Replying
I agree. I don't like it when I just get 1 or 2 word posts. I find it utterly pointless. That said, I try not to do that but it happens sometimes and I also try not to overpost but I'm a talker so I do that a bit too XD
Re: Replying/Not Replying
Yeah, I think all of us tend to do that. It's hard to find a happy medium for every post.
