Outside, Lilly heard a faint, "They're comin' I tell you! The Nazi's'll be here anny second!"
Lilly giggled, shaking her head. "Oh, Jerry."

Mark laughed, watching the old man prancing crazily about their lawn in the darkness. "Ready for bed, love?" asked Mark, turning back to Lilly.

Lilly smirked, watching him as well. "Yes," Lilly said, still smiling.
She stepped up, and shut the blinds, then turned off the lights.

Mark changed into flannel pajama pants and clambered into their bed.

Lilly sat up quickly in bed, awakened by a loud noise. Blinking the sleep out of her eyes, she saw old man Frederick sitting cross-legged on the carpet, his eyes very wide, watching them sleep.

Frederick stared intently at Lilly, and then bashed his fists against the cabinet again. Mark jumped and sat upright. He spotted the man and groaned. "What?" he asked the man.

Frederick smiled, revealing several missing teeth. "I couldn't sleep, so I figured if I watched you sleep, than I would just get tired and crawl into bed with you guys."
Lilly knit her eyebrows, and slowly inched backwards on her bed. "Oh, well... You should probably go now..."

"Yeah... let me show you out..." Mark got up and led the old man out of the house, locking the doors and windows firmly. When he returned, wide-eyed, he couldn't help but laugh.
