Kemi stared at her for a moment, and then began to explain. "I think there're alot of reasons... firstly, I just love the aura of mystery. Secondly, I'm emo. But I think most importantly is why I always have to hide my eyes... without eye contact, I can kill, I can torment, I can go against the rules. But if someone looks me in the eye, I just break down. All the walls I've put around myself to conceal myself, protect myself, and make myself feared just crumble. If someone looks into my eyes, they'd see the real me. And that's what scares me."

"Oh.. I see." she replied simply, gently taking her hand away. "Well, um. I'm going to go back and sleep.. is that alright with you?" she asked.

She nodded, then made her way back to the bed. She layed on it, sighed deeply, and fell asleep.

Kemi stared up at the moon, thoughts flying through his head. He wasn't quite sure how he felt about Elarinya, about himself -- really, about anything anymore.

Kemi turned to look at Elarinya, finding that she was mumbling in her sleep. He wondered what her nightmare was about.

Kemi gasped. He felt horrible, even though he wasn't doing anything. He slowly got up off the floor and walked over to the bed, sitting down on the edge of it.

She woke up, gasping. She turned over, now facing Kemi. Somewhat frightened, she edged herself closer to the edge.

"Er, you were sort of... talking in your sleep... and, um, you said something like, er, 'Kemi, don't hurt me...'"
