"Yes... haunted. I fear for your safety, my children!" said the old woman, looking around with wide eyes, and then rushing out of the house and back across the street without another word.
"Well, that was interesting," Mark snorted.

"She's here because she's crazy and she thinks she's a psychic," Mark smirked. "There's someone like that in every shadow neighborhood, I assume."

Lilly smiled, nodding. "You're right."
At that moment, the doorbell rang. "More neighbors, I bet," Lilly murmured, going to get the door. A man that looked about thirty-five, with grey-black hair in all directions smiled. "Helloo," he said, with a heavy Austrailian accent.

"Nice to meet you too!" he glanced around nervously. "I should 'ave brought you something, mate!" He looked around again. "I can't stay to loong, or else my parol officer won't be happy . . ."

"But, what he doesn't know won't hurt 'im, am I right, mate?" he asked, laughing. "I guess I could stay awhile."

The man waved his hand dismissively. "Nah, it's fine. I need a place to hide. I was thinking of moving to this place called Shady Hollows..."
"We moved from there," Lilly said, smiling.

"Yeah, it's really nice. We only moved away because there was a serial killer rapist out to get this troublemaker over here," Mark smirked, wrapping his arms around Lilly from behind.

Lilly, inched slowly away, until she was against Mark. "Oh . . . um." she couldn't think of anything else to say.

"Um... well... nice to meet you, but we really should get unpacking." Mark ushered the man quickly out the door, shut it and locked it. He pulled Lilly close to him. "Er... well, at least he's moving."
