CHAPTER 16!! Woot woot! Lame title, I know, I know.

[Chapter 16 - Christmas Wishes]
As foretold, we were not staying at Astoria’s house for Christmas. Nor were we staying at Draco’s house: there were Death Eaters there. So there was only one place left to go.
“Draco! So nice to finally meet you.” Father gave Draco what was obviously a bone-crushing handshake, but Draco did not flinch. Mum was glaring at him suspiciously from several feet away. I had not been thick enough to tell her that Draco was a Death Eater, but she hated him all the same.
“Now, I’d like a word with you two.” Father said to Draco and me, suddenly stern. I glanced over at Draco, eyebrows raised.
“Right. Now, I’ve give you two my permission, but I do not want to find you two kissing.” Father said briskly. I covered my mouth to keep from snorting. Draco was biting his lip in a pathetic attempt to conceal his grin.
“Right, sir,” Draco said, and I could tell it was with great difficulty that he didn’t sneer, “You won’t find us kissing.”
“Good.” Father nodded, and strode off down the hall. Once he was out of earshot, Draco murmured, “Key word - find.”
We snickered and I grabbed Draco’s hand, pulling him down the hallway.
“This,” I said, pushing open my door, “is my room.”
Draco laughed. “This is practically a mini-version of the Slytherin common room!”
“I thought it would irritate my parents most,” I grinned, “And I was right. They hardly ever come in here.”
“Nice,” said Draco appreciatively.
There was a tapping noise at the window and I walked over, pulling back the shades, and then opened the window to let Mischief in. She landed on my outstretched arm and hooted, sticking out her leg, which had a letter tied to it. “Thanks Mischief.” I said, untying the letter. I glanced down at it. “It’s from Astoria.” I said quietly.
I sat down on the edge of my bed and started reading the letter aloud.
“Dear Melody - I’m sorry I blew up yesterday. I just don’t want you to get hurt like I did,” I paused, glancing out of the corner of my eye at Draco, who was scuffing his shoe on the floor and looking guilty. I slid my gaze back to the paper. “I mean, I know how you feel, that you think nothing could ever possibly happen to break you two up, and trust me, I felt the same way. I know what it’s like to stare into those dazzling gray eyes, to kiss those lips-”
I stopped. This was clearly a letter meant for my eyes only. Draco seemed to be thinking along the same lines.
“Well… er… I’m gonna go change into pajamas…” he said awkwardly. He then departed for the guest room across the hall. I continued reading the letter in my head -
- and it’s truly amazing. But I don’t want you to fall into the same trap I did. I don’t want to crush your hopes and dreams here, but this is reality. He’s going to break you’re heart and there’s nothing you can do, unless you just end it now and save yourself the heartbreak. I say this because I care, and I don’t want -
I tossed the letter across the room, my temper flaring up. She thought she knew everything, did she? She thought she knew exactly -
There was a crash from the other end of the room and I shrieked, startled. A moment later, a panicked Draco rushed in and I giggled; he was shirtless.
“What happened? You okay?” he asked, glancing around for the danger.
“Picture fell,” I said, pointing to the smashed frame lying on the floor. “And as much as I hate to say it, put a shirt on. If Father came in and saw you…”
Draco laughed and walked back into his room. After repairing the broken glass, I glanced over at Mischief, who had knocked the picture off of my desk.
“You clever owl,” I cooed, “Did you do that just so I could see how hot Draco is?”
“You think so?” asked Draco, grinning, from the doorway. I whirled around, blushing furiously. He walked into the room, now wearing a white V-neck T-shirt.
“Please tell me you didn’t hear that,” I pleaded, looking down.
“I could, but then I’d be lying to you.” Draco replied.
Just then, Mum burst into the room.
“What did he do to you?!” she demanded, shoving Draco out of the way as she rushed over to me.
“Draco didn’t do anything to me, Mum. That picture fell off the desk and I got startled, so I screamed.” I said in an exasperated voice.
She glared at Draco accusingly, and then stalked out of the room without another word.
“Sorry,” I mumbled.
“ ‘S okay. My mum’s been frazzled lately, too, bursts into tears sometimes, even, with everyone at our manor, and me with the… the mission… and Father in… in… prison…” for a moment Draco looked like he might cry, but then he regained composure. “Well, I’ll be off to bed now, I suppose. It’s late.” he said with a sigh. “’Night, Mel. Love you.”
“Love you too.” I murmured as he turned and left the room. With a flick of my wand I extinguished the candles and the fire reduced to embers. I climbed into bed and closed my eyes, but my mind was still racing.

I awoke on Christmas morning and found myself staring up into a wildly attractive face. Draco was grinning. “You’re finally up, sleepyhead.” he laughed, ‘I was getting worried, it’s nearly twelve.”
I sat up and pushed the sheets back. Draco moved to the end of my bed, where all my presents were stacked, holding a small jewelry box. He noticed me eyeing it and held it out to me.
“I wasn’t sure if you’d like it,” sad Draco as I unwrapped the gift. I lifted up the lid of the box and exclaimed, “Oh, Draco, it’s wonderful!”
It was a necklace, a locket. It had a thin golden chain, and the small locket was in the shape of a heart. Draco picked it up out of the box and fastened it around my neck. I beamed at him, and, unable to restrain myself any longer, leaned forward and kissed him. Of course, Father chose that exact moment to peer into my room.
“AHEM.” he cleared his throat very loudly and Draco and I jumped away from each other.
“I thought I had your word.” he said sternly to us.
“Right. Sorry, sir.” Draco said hurriedly, “It won’t happen again.”
“I would hope not.” Father nodded. “Now, I’m off to have breakfast. Whatever Twinkly’s cooking smells scrumptious.” he said with a faint smile, and then continued down the hallway, following the scent of Christmas breakfast into the kitchen.
I turned back to Draco with a grin. “I’d say we’re good for at least five minutes.” I giggled. I put my arms around Draco’s neck and started kissing him again. After some time we broke apart, our foreheads leaning against each other’s and staring into one another’s eyes.
“Merry Christmas, Melody.” Draco whispered.

Aw... xD But that made me giggle really hard! xD "Key Word-- Find." ROFL! And the whole shirtless thing. When we were away this week, we had this crazy--- Wait, I have to give you the whole story.
Me and four or five friends, Abi, Eileen, Jenna, Megan, and Kate were in the lounge in our dorm building with our World Studies teacher. Mind you, you can see directly into the boys lounge at night because the lights are turned on. There were about 3 or 4 guys in their lounge. So Abi started trying to show by doing the worm. She was alright at it. Then Eileen gave it a shot. Now, I don't want to be mean, but she's a little bit... Erm, big. So she failed at the worm. xD I tried and ended up bashing myself on the concrete floor. By now the 5 dudes in the guys dorm are watching, and about 20 more girls have joined our crowd. Then our teacher did the Worm. Now the guys decided it was their turn to show off for us ladies. xD So now they're over there breakdancing. LOL! So we started breakdancing. By now, all the girls in the grade are in the lounge watching the guys. Then the guys started doing push-ups to show off how 'strong' they are. We didn't miss a beat and did sit-ups, then lifted Jenna up above our heads. The guys picked up Taylor, and dropped him. LOL. They decided they couldn't win in strength, so they took off their shirts and started dancing around shirtless! All the girls freaked and started screaming and clapping. It was so funny! Then the teachers made us close the blinds so we couldn't see them anymore. ROFL! We then had the biggest pillow fight ever, and crashed. It was insane!

OMG that sounds sooo uber fun!!! I wish my school did overnight trips like that. *scowls at the lameness of public school class trips* xD I might be going to a private high school, though. But that's next year.
Anyway, yeah, when I writing it I giggled as I was writing the shirtless-Draco part. And make sure my parents we're reading what I was writing. xD

Were? LOL! I didn't mention to Mum that boys took their shirts off. Or that we were up for another hour rating their hotness without a shirt. ROFL!

You know, I really wish you, me, Maddie, and Mir were all friends in real life, we'd have the best times together! Even though we're different ages.. but still! xD We have all these crazy similarities. I'm pretty sure Maddie and I are evil twins. She made a RP charrie that was exactly like her, and I was like OMG! MADDIE! If that's based off of you, then you look exactly like me!! o.O And all of us have the same interests and stuff. It's pretty crazy.
