* Out Of This World * Book 1: A Spy on the Home Front

Ebony pulled her hood farther over her face and looked around to make certain no one was watching. Then, she pressed her hand to her stomach. She felt her appearance change beneath her fingertips. Her pale caucasian skin turned to a light lavender, her long, shiny, straight black hair became medium-brown and wavy, her limbs got longer. Her long black cloak and tight, cobwebby black dress transformed to become deep purple Jasmine-esque shirt and pants, and golden jewlery appeared on her neck, ears, and wrists. Now bearing an entirely different appearence except for her purple eyes, she ventured out into the streets.

Yawzing bought 3.98 lbs of gerglug friut then started makeing his way home.

Ebony, now using her second favorite form Lila, noticed the man she had met earlier up ahead. She did several back-handsprings and landed neatly beside the man. "Hello!" said Lila brightly.

Yawzing mumbled "Hi" and cotinued walking.

"My name's Lila," she tried.

"Great" Yawzing mumbeled ,intent on geting home.(And also slighty jealous of her speed and flexibleity.)

"What's yours?" Lila remained upbeat despite the man's grumpy attitude.

"Yawzing if you must know" Yawzing said

"Ooh, you're the king's advisor, right?" she questioned.

"Yes" He said

"That's so awesome! What is he like?"

"Mind your own bisness" Yawzng said as he Fast walked away at top speed.

"Oh, but I'm merely curious," pried Lila, easily keeping up with Yawzing. "Why is it so private what the King is like? Aren't kings supposed to be good to their citizens and know them like friends?"

"I sorry " Yawzing said" It's jest that I want to get back to my house where everthing is not so stange"He Then contuned to tell her what he saw in the ally .

He saw me in the alley... but he doesn't know it's me, now, and he doesn't know what I was doing, so I'm safe... for now. I have to be more careful from now on, however... "Oh, that's very strange," Lila commented innocently. "I can't begin to fathom what she was doing..."

"Me to."Yawzing said "Well goodbye"

"Wait, you're leaving already?" Lila asked. "If you're an advisor, you live on castle grounds, and we've still got a ways to go before we reach the gates. Why don't I accompany you for the remainder of your journey? I have nothing to do."

"Thank that would be wonderfull"Yawzing said ,"But you do know you won't be let in."

"Yes, yes, I know," Lila nodded.

'Ok" he said as he contuned walking.

"So, why can't you tell me what the King is like? I'm merely curious."

"The king wish me to share none of his presonel information, it's his deract orders"Yawzing said .

"Personal information? Why wouldn't he want his own citizens to know if he was just or cruel? If he was cunning or senseless? Loyal or unfaithful? I don't see how it's fair that the citizens of the Kingdom know absolutely nothing about our King."

"It's very silly ,really he he's worryed about spys from that genral"Yawzing said ,then he added, confused" Why don't you Know those things?'

"What do you mean?" asked Lila innocently.
