James grinned slightly, and kissed her back, blue eyes slipping closed.

Nadine wound her arms around his neck, her mind slipping into that numbing bliss that she had come to associate with kissing James.

James' mind, on the other hand, was not numb, or empty. Instead, thoughts such as follows ran through: I love Nadine. She is so amazing. I couldn't live without her. She is my life now. Where was she before now? Why didn't I meet her sooner? Oh my Goddd, I love her. Don't let me go. I'll protect you. I want to stay in this moment forever. I'm never gonna let you go. I'll always be here for you...

The only thing running through her mind was his name, over and over like a favorite song on repeat. In this moment, could she be any happier?

James unconsciously put his hands around her waist, and leaned still into the kiss.

She slowly leaned over backwards, so that she was lying down and he was on top of her. Her head was spinning; drunk on love.

James put his hands on the ground in order to avoid crushing Nadine beneath him, and sank still more deeply. He felt he forgot how to breathe, and blink, and his heart momentarily quit beating.

Nadine couldn't think clearly, but all she knew was that she wanted to stay in this moment forever.

Finally, hating that he had to break the moment, but afraid of passing out from dizziness, James pulled back, blinking rapidly.

Nadine smiled up at him. "I really love this."

((ROFL! I REMEMBER! So we were in Science class last year, and this was just a bit after I had come up with my brilliant name for Skyler, "Star." So our teacher was talking about what a fail ColdFusion was, and she's like, "If it's not hot, it won't fuse! Stars are some of the only things hot enough to naturally fuse," and I leaned over to Eileen, who was right next to me at the time, and was like, "Oh, do you wish you were fusing with your star? Are you going to make a constellation?" And she spazzed out and started hitting me. xD I'd actually forgotten about that... But I think she's gotten back with the whole thing with milking, eh Eileen? xD))

James continued to sit in silence. ((Sorry. WB.))

((Yeah.. me too. Let's skip to later in the day, let's say they're outside their little tent and they just made a small fire.))
Nadine brushed the dirt off her hands, looking satesfactorily ((Is that even a word?)) at the fire.

((Yeahh, I think it is... Satisfactorily. Yes. It's spelled like that.))

James held his hands up to it. The flames just licked his fingertips. Not enough to hurt, or truly, to even feel. But it was warm enough. He could just barely see the moon beginning to peer nervously out from behind a patch of storm clouds that had been haunting them through the still green leaves of the forest all day. ((Whoo! Run on sentence time! xD))

I like that description. Honestly, you are such a good writer. In RPs I often slack off. ))

Nadine sat down crosslegged on the ground, staring into the enchanting flames. She had always adored fire; as a child she loved playing with candles when the power went out, so much that her father had to lock them in a cabinet out of her reach lest she burn down the house while he was away.

No, truly I'm only a good writer if I try. You're much better than I am. Normally I really don't in RPs. xD Here I just try to carry the story line.))

James watched the reflection of the fire in Nadine's eyes. They added a funny light to her eyes that already twinkled like the stars on a clear night, and the flames danced through them, making her look eager and excited, though for what, James didn't know. He started to create his own fantasy in his mind, and zoned out.

((No one is a good writer unless they try. ))

After a while, Nadine tore her gaze from the enchanting flames and glanced at James. He was completely zoned, the firelight dancing in his eyes. She smiled to herself, getting up and moving closer to him, laying her head in his lap and resuming staring at the fire.

James blinked a couple times, trying to rid his head of the purple mushrooms that were currently running from the tree that was angry because it'd lost it poor flower. No avail came from this.
He glanced down when he noticed a weight in his lap. This had frightened him for a brief moment until he saw Nadine there.
"Oh, hello," he grinned.
