Claret followed her through the maze of vent tunnels, watching the map. She had tampered with magic in the past, but nothing like this.

"I was born into a magic family," Fuzzy quickly explained. "Sorry- used a mind reading spell,"
As they continued on, Fuzzy paused. "We're here." She heard muttered voices. After a while, she could hear them clearly. "Hear 'em?" she whispered.

Claret nodded, listening hard. "Do you have a sound amplification spell, per chance?" she whispered hopefully.

"Yes, yes I do," Fuzzy clasped her stubby arms together, and they could suddenly hear the elders' whole conversation.

(( *throws confettii* YAY! ))

Claret grinned, and listened.

((WOOT!))

Fuzzy identified her Gram's voice.
".... If we use the teleporter in room 09, that'd be the perfect way to Island 2!"
"Room 09?" Fuzzy muttered to herself. "Blimey! What's going on?"

Claret pressed her ear to the vent, listening even more closely.

"No, Licky! You know what happened to One-eye! Why, he lost his tail! Room 08 has a perfectly good phone system to Island 2 Yoshi's elder's."
"No! The teleporter. I know my granddaughter would be so eager to help..."

Claret looked to Fuzzy, giving her the thumb's up. "You're in on the plan!" she mouthed.

"Er, now I am. She knows I'm here.."
"Yes, I do. C'mon out, Fuzzy, and friend."

Claret gaped for a moment, and then unlatched the vent and jumped down into the room.

"Er, hi, Gram."Fuzzy mumbled.
"Yes, did my daughter send you to do this?"
"Er, yeah, Mum? Yeah, she did."
"And you did it?"
"Yes. She is my mum."
"Well, now that you know, the rules say that we must kill you both,"

Claret stared, wide-eyed in panic. What?

Licky chuckled. "Oh, I could never kill my granddaughter, and her friend. Now Fuzzy, and friend, would you be willing to try my plan?"

Claret relaxed, angry with herself that she had shown outward signs of emotion. She nodded stiffly.

"All right," Licky said. "Room 09 is down the hallway. Take the first left, and there should be a door labled 09. If you go in, island 2 will be waiting,"
"Um. Okay, Claret. You ready? We may lose a limb..."

Claret nodded, a bit fearful but not showing it in the slightest.

Fuzzy blinked. "Okay then. Let's go."
She spun out of the room, grasped Claret's hand, and snapped her fingers all at the same time, while squeezing her eyes shut. When she opened them, there were in a small room, with a large silver door against the left wall. Above the door frame was a light bulb, that was hooked up to blue and red wires.
"This here's the teleporter." she said matter-of-factly.

"Oh," said Claret stupidly.

"Mmhmm. Claret, take my hand. The only way for this to work is for us to go in together. It will be dizzying, and quite possibly painful."
Without waiting for an answer, Fuzzy clutched Clarets' hand, and opened the door of the teleporter. "You ready?" she asked.

Claret took a deep breath and nodded. No, absolutely not! "Yes."

"Mkay. Hold on tight!"
Fuzzy raced into the door. All she saw were bright flashing colors. Pinks, blues, purples, greens, reds... It didn't last very long, and the next thing she knew, they were in a straw hut, surrounded by three yoshis, not at all elders.

Claret blinked several times, and checked to make sure she was still in one piece.

Astro heared the air rushing by him as he scaned the seas.Sueaddenly he folded his wings and plumited torudes the sea. He had found waht he was looking for a island 5 yoshi's ship.

Fuzzy stood up shakily, and flexed her arms. Everything was as it should be. Except... when she looked down, she had no fur. Just scales.
"Claret, you okay?"
